We always request feedback from our customers following training or consultancy sessions. Sometimes we receive additional comments on these and at other times we receive feedback separately. We always act on these but also like to share them. The following are the most recent compliments we have received.

Inheriting and Understanding Heritage - A Workshop for New Staff (260112H)

‘…I arrived feeling very despondent and frustrated with Heritage, but after the session with […], I have come back fired up with enthusiasm and ready to use the knowledge I gained. I realised that some of the reasons I have been having problems is that I don't think the settings have been changed since the late 1990s - it does not look at all like what we were working on yesterday. I have already spoken to IT about getting this changed. I also learned of amazing things Heritage can do to make my life so much easier. Up until now, I have felt that I am Heritage's servant. Now I have realised that it is the other way round. All I need to do is sort out the settings - and that begins today! ‘…I thought that the trainer was excellent. […] made the session very enjoyable, he is clearly knowledgeable about Heritage but also able to understand how the system looks to people like myself who are new to it. […] was also very good at answering questions as well as getting through the material he had prepared. The course was mainly about showing what Heritage can do for us and where we can go to get support. I think that this is more valuable than spending a great deal of time going through all the steps of various procedures slowly in great detail, as I'd forget the steps anyway. As it is, I've learned various useful things that Heritage can do for my library and know where to look to get the instructions on how to implement them… Thank you.’

 

New User Training

Fantastic support

I just wanted to let you know the fantastic support [...] has provided St Martins in The Fields over the last few days with our issue with Heritage and Bio Store.

[...] went above and beyond his role, by arranging suitable times with myself to gain access to the computer for the issue, which at times it is very hard to gain access to! He also provided assistance with upgrading all functions of both databases, even though this is up to us to keep updated!, and creating new network shares to ensure all issues were resolved. With what started out as one issue, he resolved a multitude of issues for us without us even requesting! which is fantastic. He persisted with the issue allocated to him, and he approached this with a 'can do' attitude and always had other ideas on how to resolve this issue for us in the best/quickest way. Overall, he did an amazing job for us which all the staff are ecstatic with, he is a real credit to your support team

 

Bespoke Heritage 'Data Conversion / New User' Training

'We asked for a new user training day outlining how to set up our new system. [...] covered all the main functions in depth and allowed us the freedom to explore as things arose with our trial data...We felt the overall day was a great success and we felt valued as clients. We also walked away knowing we've made the right decision, armed with the information we needed to look at the trial data effectively.'
 

 

'An Introduction to Reports Workshop' - (170511H)

'I wasn't sure whether the introduction or intermediate was the best level for me as I've been using reports for a few years, but the course info suggested not to attempt theintermediate until after completion of the Introduction course. I did find that I was already familiar with most of the content but felt that it cemented my existing knowledge and filled a few gaps, resulting in improved confidence and more effective/efficient ability to write reports...I would like to thank [...] for his excellent training style, enthusiasm and flexibility.  [...] ensured that he catered for the differing levels of experience and speed of learning, also managing to provide on the spot 1:1 help and support with individual queries presented to him at the training.'


 

 

'Invaluable Help & Support'

Dear David,

I am writing to praise and to let you know just how thankful we are to [...] who has helped us through the process of three upgrades for Heritage and 3 for Heritage Online over the last few days.  His help has been invaluable and the time he spent with our I.T department and myself on the phone explaining patiently and with good humour has meant that we are already up and running with the new system.

We have been with Heritage for many years – since it was a DOS system – and have always been impressed by the quality of care and support that your staff give.  We’re looking forward to implementing some of the new enhancements.

'Exemplary Customer Service!'

Dear IS Oxford,

We just wanted to say a big thank you for all your help and support this year.

Although we are a small library, we use a fair number of suppliers and the customer service we receive from you is exemplary, best by far!

The upgrades have been a huge hit here also - enhancements too many to mention - & we like the fact students can write book reviews, view book covers, and the search aspect is also a hit! The quick links / news & information links are a huge help and enable us to link to our other resources & information to make life more seamless for students.

Beginner Reports Workshop

'...I wanted to understand the different components of a report and how to go about building one.  This was explained in the 'reports building blocks' and the simplicity of the explanation helped it to make sense to me...'
