Heritage 4.2 presentation - tidy up your data and Heritage 4.2.7

The presentation-style workshop runs from 10am to 3.30pm with registration from 9.30am including coffee or tea and biscuits and a buffet lunch. The session focuses on a several modules of Heritage.

This course is designed to give you the tools to identify and problems with your Heritage data; address those changes using tools available in Heritage; and to test your changes have been implemented successfully. The course includes a comprehensive workbook including useful tips and examples. There will be relevant exercises demonstrated throughout the course to help you consolidate what you have learned and an opportunity to ask questions at the end of the day.

Presentation contents

  • The course utilises the Command Line Reports facility and the NEW Report Wizard to let you review your Heritage dataset and decide what needs further attention.
  • The following facilities will be used to apply appropriate changes to the data:
    • Global Change
    • Global Delete
    • Modify Authority Files
  • Testing the Changes made using:
    • Data Statistics Utility in the Management Menu
    • Tools Menu - Run Utilities
    • Command Line Reports
  • Other areas covered:
    • Entries in look up tables and how to amend them to meet your requirements
    • Circulation rules and how to rationalise them
    • The latest features in V4.2.7!
